The Fertile Fraternity of Builders began over coffee when three contractors agreed the town needed professional standards, mutual support, and somewhere to complain about people moving their tape measures. They formed a fraternity. Nobody could remember who volunteered to take minutes.
Their first slogan celebrated “the art of nailing” and “the joy of finishing.” The treasurer approved it before his wife saw the proof. By the time she did, the shirts had arrived and half the members had worn them to the hardware store.
This fraternity values solid foundations, careful measurements, and the satisfaction of finally completing a project. The apprentice still gets sent for a left-handed hammer. Wear the tee proudly. Membership requires no building permit, although your explanation may need structural support.
