Description
A wide stance. A narrow margin for error.
The Spread Eagle Dodgeball Club formed after a community fitness meeting ran out of sensible suggestions. Somebody found a bag of rubber balls. Somebody else shouted “spread out.” The town name did the rest.
The squad practices every Thursday, except when the gym is booked, the captain has bowling, or the knees vote against it. Their signature defensive formation looks impressive in photographs and has prevented almost no direct hits. The coach calls this a rebuilding season. He has called it that since the first practice.
Their greatest rival is the team that reads the rules. Wear the shirt for a club that believes commitment means staying on the court until you hear the whistle or remember an urgent errand. Athletic ability optional. Reflexes strongly encouraged.
From the Route 69 business archives. Real town. Invented establishment.
